Can someone run me through the drill for removing the driver's side lower dash on a 72 coupe. Have all the screws removed but need to know what else to disconnect. How do the tach and speedo cables disconnect, etc. Appreciate any help and Merry Christmas!!

Its a real pain. You must reach up behind the speedo and tach and push a small tab in toward them as you pull out the cables. It is a spring metal ring. Next, you will need to unbolt the streering column from the bottom and the adjustment plate under the brake pedal on the floor. That will let the column drop down with some pressure. The center gage plate should be removed too. Once that is done the lower I/P should start to come out. Then you will need to reach up and around to disconnect the light bulbs and head lamp switch plug. The wires are held in place by some flexible metal straps which you will need to bend out of the way. Becareful with it and you might not break it into pieces.

Thanks, Brian. I just knew it wouldn't be as easy as the right hand side! And me being born with only two hands!! Think I'll wait until I'm in a more patient frame of mind....
