Unless it still has a paper tag on the back with that info, I don't know of any way to determine the assembly date of the gauges. Ouch

My gauges had a paper tag on the housing and it was almost off, so I re glued it, just to kept it org. LOL....my clocks had nothing on them to indicate a date, rebuilt one is ticking away (old school). I get a kick out of seeing the min. hand ticking away. Not something you see everyday from a mech. clock. (G)

I've seen numbers on the back of some clocks. And I wondered how to figure out the date. I want to get my clock fixed, but if it can't I'll have to find one that is close to the date. I'm happy to get any and all suggestion. Thanks for your help.

Don't guess I've ever even paid any attention, but if there is a date ink stamped on one, it would either be a typical Y-M-D/M-D-Y, or a Julian date. It would depend on what manufacturer actually made it.

tape tag on back of 76 clock cannot be read, faded away, but the numbers printed in "hot Pink" are 506 0166G, most of the parts in mine were built in Feb of 76. I purchased a rebuild on ebay and it came with the org. repair papers. John Wachter, 114 Grandview Blvd., Butler, PA 16001 Phone 724-285-8718 WALKEDHER@ZOOMINTERNET.NET. 30 day warranty dated 12-06-08. I purchased it from third party on 3/23/2013. Guess he did not use it? org. invoice reads ebay sale 75-76 corvette. Maybe this will help. By the way...clock ticks right along! (G)
