For the distance that's actually not too bad, size vs weight kills me I really hate that. Shipping a hood cross country is around $160-200 for freight. 
Factor in the pound to dollar exchange rate Shockedand you could be doing allright on the actual total cost.

on top of that we get cost+shipping,then about 25% of total,tax & customs duty.

Vette(s): 1968 coupe bought in 1999, 2nd owner, 427 custom built, 4 speed (M20), 3:36 posi rear end, Recaro seats, Intro wheels, Nitto tires, Flowmasters, etc. Painted nite race metallic blue.
In another week or so I will be in the process of putting a new front nose with an L88 hood in my '68. I now have an aftermarket long hood with a high rise section because of the manifold and carburator in the car. The air cleaner really puts pressure on the hood when closing the hood. It is really against it. Once the process is completed I will share what did I do to make sure everything fits and that I get the advantage of the extra air into the carburator.
