a screwdriver. You will need to push DOWN on this part with your
tool. The tool will need to be bent a little in order to get through
the trough and engage the release as you see HERE. This shot shows the tool engaging the release . Since I have to go through the wiper door cover I made a SPECIAL TOOL that you see here with a 12 inch scale. I hope these help you

hi does look easy but I am going to do it ,as a service mng at jeep dealership same thing we could open in 5 mins,this I doned know thanks for your time here I go dwa

Once you get your hood open you can install these emergency hood release cables. I installed a pair and they work pretty well. I got these at Corvette Central.
