Here is one you may want to check on your vette.
I noticed that my hood release cross over cable looked at bit loose and was starting to fray a little. The cable has an adjustment on the drivers side but mine was on the last opening. Figured that this would be just another thing to add to the list to get to someday.
Well, you guessed it, I went to open my hood and only the driver's side released. I could not get the pass side to release.
Not sure if the cable had broken or finally overstretched. I could not reach under the drivers' side far enough to see or reach the cable area. I was starting to think I might have to go through a wheel well to get to it...
After much yelling, pulling on the hood, and jerking the hood release cable in and out, I got lucky and the right side released. It was stretched not broken.
I got a new crossover cable from Ecklers. It was a 5 min installation and adjusted up fine. This is an easy PM and may save you a major headache.

Thanks for the tip!
I may need that myself. When I pull the hood release, the passenger side doesn't always pop up right away.
Btw, I also added it to the "C3 Tips & Tricks" section!

hey ed,
do you have one on redrilling and putting in new screws on the hood? the p/o must have lost a screw on the driver side and redrilled that plate and only put one screw in so the whole hood was moving to the right and was tight on the passenger side.
we tightened it up{those hoods are heavy when you are trying to hold em in place} but i think i need new plates...thanks.....annie
