on a 1978 vette where is the high/low beam switch?
Is it on the turn signal, and if so is there a relay somewhere other than this switch that would prevent the lights from changing from low to high? |headscratch|

Morning...before you fault the switch, have you made sure that the cause isn't bulb failure? This happened to me once; both bulbs where burned out. They don't go at the same time, but as all 4 light up on high beam you don't notice it when one blows. When the second one goes, you do notice and think you have a bad switch. Check it out |idea|

I don't remember exactly which year it was changed. Earlier versions had the dimmer switch on the floor. Later ones had the dimmer switch on the column. Pulling the turn signal switch forward pushed down on a rod, which pushed the dimmer switch mounted on the side of the steering column.

On my 78 there are 2 levers on the left side of the steering column, the top one is for the high low beams ,the lower one is for the tilt steering wheel, they should be all the same for 78,the turn signal lever is on the right side, and the lock for the telescope wheel,is just behind the horn button |cool| |thumb|
