No sooner do I fix one problem when another one appears.
When I turned on my headlights this evening, my red warning light on the dash came on. My lights are working fine, no delays.
Anyone have any suggestions ?
Thanks

It's pretty common to have those headlight warning switches just break off, they are made of plastic. You will find the warning switches (one on each headlight) located on the lower link. You can simply remove and tape off the wires from the one that's broke until you can get a replacement.

Big Fish,
I'm sorry to bother you, since this is my first vette, and I have very limited mechanical knowledge I have 2 questions to ask.
Where exactly is this lower link ?
What is this part called ?
I've look in a number of catalogs, and I even have a 74 repair manual, but I can't find anything remotely called a "headlight warning sensor". At least that's what I would call it.
Thanks

In my Haynes manual it's called a headlamp door warning LP switch. Both mine are broken off so can't help you as to where they go.

Anything, but Stock and more mods to come!
SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
Corvette Central sells them. If you have one of their catalogs there on the page with all the headlight repair items. They are also I believe in the electrical sectiion.
If memory serves me correctly they are around $15 each.
My suggestion, pull the bulb on the dash and wire the harness pigtail at the headlight up out of the way.

Snoopy,
At least I now know the correct name for the part. I've looked everywhere and none of the books I've looked onto call it by headlight door warning LP. However, After Shark's reply that Corvette Central has them.
Thanks a bunch to all of you for your help
