I am in the middle of a frame off right now and started taking apart the headlights the other day.  I ended up braking one stud off of each of the headlight actuators.  Can these be replaced or am I looking at whole new actuators?

Sounds to me like your gonna be buying a new pair of shiny new onesLOL I got a pair of them through Ebay,49.99 each brand new,he didn't have both sides I cant remember if they were left or right, but they both fit perfectly, all I had to do was change hose location from one side of the actuater to the other.I don't know if he has them now on Ebay, send me an e-mail and I'll give you his E-address,if ya wanna check with himRon 782007-08-13 10:33:46

as ron did got mine off ebay too.bought 2 for the same side as the price was about $20 less and they both went in perfectly. the one hose had to go on the opposite way but it works great.

I did the same thing on one of mine during rebuild - I had enough thread left on both ends and used a double nut like bolt from the hardware store and it actually worked. Its like a come-a-long type nut or an extra long nut that can be threaded at both ends. This was a temporary fix 6 months ago.... but still working fine, no problems. I will get around to buying a new actuator next time I have an extra $60 to spend on the car..... I will post a picture of my nut if you need; Now that just doesn't sound right.....Confused

Show us you're NUTS, Phil!
(Now THAT doesn't sound right!)

It reads like you broke one of the four studs that hold the actuator to the bracket. In that case, you could probably get by with just the other three, until you wanted to spend the cash for new ones. They are not replaceable, unless you want to open them up, and weld in a new stud...not really worth the effort, imho.
