Remove the left kick panel to free the carpet from around the dimmer. when you peel back the carpet from the dimmer you will find that it is held in by two phillips screws. Electrical connection simply unplugs from the switch (it's an offset three prong that can only go in one way).
Easy job: 15 minutes and you're done.
"Git 'er done!"

Just pull back the carpet over it. It has 2 screws holding it to the floor. Just unplug it and replace. Installation is the reverse of removal.
