Anyone ever remove the whole headlight assembly? What is the easiest way to do this?

Vette(s): 1979, Targa Blue (72 Color), Pace Car rear spoiler, L88 hood, Dark blue factory interior, 525HP 406, HD 700R4, 370 gears,Steeroids, composite rear spring, TT IIs wrapped in T/A Radials.

Do you still have all of the impact stuff behind the front bumper? I didn't and was able to maneuver the out throught the headlight holes. (not without knicking them up a bit Confused). I believe the correct way is with the front bumper off the car, they shoud drop down when unbolted and come forward.
