New to forum....out the other day and, and went to put wipers on (can't believe I got caught in a drizzle)......the cover opened for wipers, but wipers did not pop up, AND the headlamp light came on. The 1st thing I need to address is this headlamp light because it stays on even when car is off. I had to disconnect battery when I arrived at destination. I left it connected overnight, now I have a dead battery.
So, why would headlamp light stay on?
Secondly, what could be wrong with wipers? When I turn car off, I manually push down wiper cover (btw - does that have a name). When I start it up, wiper cover opens automatically even with wiper switch in off position.
I'm wondering if my problems are parallel with each other, or just coincidental?

For your headlights look to the Headlight sw. the vacuum portion of the headlight sw could effect the vacuum of the wiper doors. do you have a wiring diagram and or a vacuum diagram for the headlights and wipers ? I could send you one if needed
