When I started my car tonight the front lights popped up and they will not retract. I just recently had the dash out and I hope, though I suspect differently, that I didn't do something there. Looking at all the manuals I don't see anything that addresses this. The light raising switch under the steering column is hookek up and pushed up. The head lights do work. Vacumn at an idle is 17lbs. Any Ideas?

Ray, when you took the dash out were you referring to the the speedo/tach cluster. If so, the vacuum hoses going to the headlight switch are just to the left and easily knocked off when replacing that cluster. I usually tie mine back the first time I go in to avoid this. If the hose is off, the headlights won't go down except by hand.

Ray, Jim may be onto something, I had same problem, I knocked off a hose from back side of headlight switch.

When I took the dash out I was worried about the vacuum lines and TRIED to be careful. I took the dash back out tonight checked everything. Looked good. Fired it up just to see and everything worked. Go figure. I'm thinking that maybe I pinched/kinked a hose, but, I don't know. I'm getting pretty good at taking the dash out though. Had that bad boy out, working and back together in 1.5 hours with no extra screws.
