   Not sure about your year, but on my '72 there are two override vacuum switches at the lower dash under the steering column. Left side will override the vacuum to the headlights making them remain up. Right side is for the wiper door.
        Hope this helps,

The override switch looks like THIS  The part you will see looking under the steering column is the button on the right side of the switch in the pic.

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
If you have an owner's manual the under-dash switches should be detailed in there.  I know there is a good write-up in the o.m. for my '70.
