I have a power drain that is killing my battery. My hunch is its the horn circuit. Mid America offers this part that if the battery dips below 12v, it disconnects. Im thinking this might be the ticket until the short is traced. Its on page M16 of the new cat. Thanks, Kevin.

well that might save the overall life of the battery, but to the best of my knowledge, you still need 12.5 to 13 volts to be able to have good starting voltage for the ignition system and such.

I agree with after shark you will have a tough time starting if it is below 12.5 volts. I had the same problem, and bought the battery shut off switch. You just give it a turn and it disconnects the battery. I like it. It's a good theft deterant too. You just unscrew it all the way and take the screw with you.
