I have an annoying problem with my glove box door on my 78.  The right hinge mount is broken.  How common is this for C3’s and what are my repair options?

I can see the hinge, but I can't really tell what's "broken"...
I'll bet mkapp7879 has an answer for this!

Huh? I've not had this problem, altho one of my Pace Car door hinges seems loose. Haven't done anything with it as that's most likely the way it left the factory! So it must be correct. Isn't the hinge part of the door assembly? Ebay, "new" door.......

I just changed out the door hinge and door for the box.  If you need the door hinge and cannot find one on ebay, give me a shout.  I can hook you up, I don't need a spare.  There is nothing wrong with it either, the actual door was warped, and I was able to get the set.  Mine is off of an '81.

The hinge is OK; just below it are the 2 screw holes on the lower part of the dash that are broken and split that it’s supposed to attach to..  These screw holes are part of the dash so I will probably need to make a bracket or something that can use nearby screw points.  There’s one just to the left of these two holes. (not pictured).

Now I see it...
You might try some epoxy on the place where the screws go into the dash. Build the area up a bit, and shape it to conform to generally the same as it was before(or compare to the other side). Once that hardens completely, drill the holes for the screws, and carefully screws them in to make threads.
There are several types of epoxy that would work for this. Two part epoxies specifically for plastics. It's worth a try.

Vette(s): 73 coupe bought new in 1973 with only luggage rack, AM/FM radio, HD battery & Maplight as options. L48, 4 speed, Paint Med Met Blue 922 interior Dark saddle 418 special order. Repurchased 4/1/06 after 24 years.
make sure it is a filled epoxy, or perferably use some fiberglass mat to reinforce it.
