Hey all, I fell into a faily good (I think) deal. Glass tops from a '78-82, one in great shape, one frame, for 60 bucks (gotta love the yard sales!). So, what mods need to be made to get these to fit my 77, and is there a place that replaces the glass in these tops? As always, any and all help is appreciated!

Hi Contrail,
Ecklers offers T-top glass replacement in PPG smoke grey mirror glass for $370. I don't know what modifications are needed to make the tops fit.
Good luck

I believe you need to replace the rear latch on your '77, with the newer style.

I agree. The newer stye locks into a hole in the same place that now has the diamond shaped thing.

I HAVE THE LATER GLASS TOPS ON MY 72. THEY WILL FIT RIGHT ON, BUT YOU MAY HAVE TO INSTALL OR REMOVE THE TAB SPACERS ON THE T-BAR AS NEEDED FOR PROPER FIT. JUST REMOVE THE COVERS FOR ACCESS. TAKES ABOUT 10 MINUTES

I GOT ONE OF MY REPLACEMENT TOPS FROM HARKEMA MOTORSPORTS. HE SPECIALIZES IN HARD TO FIND REPLACEMENT ORIGINAL GLASS TOPS. GIVE HIM THE NUMBER FROM THE LOWER CORNER AND HE CAN MATCH ONE UP FOR YOU. THE PHONE # IS 815-754-5574, OR TRY WWW.CORVETTTOPS.COM/HARD%20TOFIND.HTM. I WAS REAL HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND HE ALSO CARRIES THE SPACERS AND SENDS THEM WITH THE REPLACEMENT TOP

I agree with Reid. I've also dealt with Harkema Motorsports. Derek is very good to do business with. He treated me well when I purchased my T-tops a few years ago. Here is a clickable link. http://corvettettops.com

The number off the top is M94A. If anyone has one and wants to sell it, let me know. I need a passenger side top.
As for the mods to install, it's really easy. Just remove the triangular shaped bolt. The rear pin fits right in.
I'm gonna check with the local glass shop to see if they can re-glass my frame, that may be a less expensive way to go.

M94A is probably the hardest to find.(it's the same ones I have) It is gray tint on the inside. All the other ones are blue.A check of the Harkema website shows two sets currently in stock. Give him a call. Prices are reasonable. I also purchased a headlight door from him as well. Brand new and much less than Mid-America. Think I paid $600.00 for the t-top and the headlight door including shipping. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I emailed Derrick. His quote for one new top (he doesn't have any used ones right now) was in line, but the boss said no, so I'm in limbo, and trying to find out if an auto glass shop can hook me up with replacement glass for the frame I have.
