I have been having problems with my gauges. When I turn the lights on all my gauges go dead except the temp. gauge.I put a new switch in it and it still doing it.Oh by the way they go dead even with just the parking lights on.Could it be the printed circut board? |cheers|

Rob,
I would suspect a bad ground connection going to the cluster. It could be internal to the circuit board but I can't say. Are the instrument lights working?

This is a very common ground problem. What's an easy way to confirm it is turn on the parking lights, then turn the dash lights up and down, brighter and dimmer. If the ground is a problem, the gauges will move with the dimmer. The reason is the gauges ground backwards through the dash lights, and when the voltage is applied to the lights, the gauges lose their ground. Repairing the dash grounds fixes it. It could be at the printed circuit, the plug connection, or where the wire grounds to the chassie.
