Has anyone replaced this before, what are the steps or has anyone have pictures,
just noticed mine does not kick back up.

Someone else will correct me if I am wrong but the return spring I believe is on the carb

I believe there is a spring in behind the pedal. This keeps the accelerator pedal upright.

It's been a while since I replaced mine (ok, installed it since it was missing). It's on the engine bay side. If I remember, getting the spring into the hole on the pedal shaft was a pain - or maybe it was the end on the firewall. Not too hard, just need a little patience. I'd post the picture from the AIM book but all my stuff is packed up in storage right now.

Your right John, it did take a little patience. Purchased a new spring, it was a little tricky to hold the pedal and the spring and at the same time slide the pin in back of the pedal to hold it all together.
