Fusible links parts numbers?

I've been reading about the various problems that are associated with our
cars' fusible links going bad, and while I'm not experiencing them right
now (yet, anyway!), I figure that I should probably replace mine while I'm
thinking about it. I'm sure they're the factory originals, and not getting
any younger (like me!). One less thing to worry about...

can anybody tell me what the correct parts numbers for these might be (I
believe that there are two of them, near the starter--?) Or advise me what
to ask/look for at the local auto parts emporiums?

There are normally at least two by the starter, but there are several others throughout the car.
Most have an amperage rating listed on the wire itself, but it may not be readable by now(much the same as it is hard for me to read now....old age).

Some parts supply places, and dealers can determine the amp rating needed, some can't.    I think the factory service manuals may have this info, too....I'll have to look to be sure, tho...

The fused links are 16 gauge. Lectric Limited offers a "starter motor extension harness" for $63 if you want to do it like original.  Mike

You can go to most part stores and get fusiable link wire.  Many have an eyelet for the starter connection.   Just make sure to use the same size wire and cut it to the same length as original.

But if the links have not been overstressed or corroded, you really don't need to replace them.
