What notches? Where are they located on the fender? The bottom where the rocker panel bolts on?

Sounds like you need to buy an AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) from Ecklers or similar. They are a wealth of info and since I've had mine I can't do without it. It will have all the info you are after.
