Hey all,
Since my vette is in the paint shop, I had the opportunity to take care of my original chrome. I needed to have the front bumper fixed (small dent), front bumper guards, front grilles, and rear bumpers done. I looked around at several shops including Paul's Chrome and others that were very credible places but the shipping costs would have been astronomical!
So I looked local to me (Baltimore area) to avoid those costs. I found a shop in Chesapeake City, MD called Polished Treasures. The owner Don has a shop behind his house to of all of the prep work and takes the parts to a shop in NJ ("his guy") for the actual chroming. Don then brings them back for the polishing and finish work.
I say that to say this... THEY CAME OUT AWESOME! Now I told him I didn't need trailer queen work but driver quality high end stuff. He gave me trailer queen work for a very reasonable price. He took great care to point out the flaws from some previous work done on the parts and how he would fix those. Again THEY CAME OUT AWESOME! If you need his contact info go to www.polishedtreasures.com. Message me and I'll tell you what I paid.
Very satisfied customer,
Jason

Just an update to the previous post. Don told me he does all of his own chroming. He doesn't send them out like I explained above. Had to get this out to be accurate to his capabilities. Great shop!

Jason,
Good to know, but, what did you consider a good price?

dont know if they are still in business but Alexandria Bumper plating in Alexandria Va was capable of doing some really nice work and polishing.
