Hi All,
A quick question on insulation.  I have the relectix recommended here in the forum and am about ready to start putting everything back in.  The question is ... if I use the reflectix do you also put additional insulations over it or when most of you have done it just used the relectix and then put the carpet right over that?
I kept as much of the inslation in tact as possible but that rear wheel section I asked about earlier is going to be a problem.
Thanks for all your help and suggestion.

I assume your concern is heat in the cabin. If so, you should be okay. Insulation on the floor pans helps tremendously. Maybe if you are concerned with noise, the rear area over the wheel wells are the most difficult area to do. I think you said you removed the factory stuff. I think you will be fine with the new stuff and the carpet over it.

Good Luck,

Scott

Thanks Ranger3
I was hoping that was the case as I have looked in the catalogs and do not see anything like what I have back there.

I installed the refletix insulation last weekend.  It made a big difference in temp.  My AC is out and that project is a few months out on the schedule.  Thanks for the tip.

i have put a cheap undercarpet(?) as isolation , for the rear over the wheels i used a  double layer rubber (isolation)carpet.. and i have read that some put a thin layer of lead inbetween  as noise reduction

but to my idea that rubber i used works fine enough
