Vette(s): 82 Silver/Gray with 80k miles, rear 275/60/15,
my drivers side visor, 1982, began slipping down as i was driving. i tried a few things but what work best was simple. i took a rag and wraped it around the ring piece between the hindge and the visor arm. i then took a pair of pliers and simply, softly, squeezed it until it was slightly unround. no more slippage.

I replaced the visor on a 78 and found that where the shaft that
mounts to the window frame passes through the visor there are
actually 4 different inner metal guides. I had the best luck by
bending the metal guides in opposing directions. It put the visor
in a bind in relation to the mounting shaft and held the visor in place.
