There were Export cars built for, and sent to Canada. None for the European market that I am aware of, tho many were imported by owners/dealers, and converted. The '84 & up cars were designed from the begining to be exported to Europe and other countries.

My '78 was exported to Canada. It had a metric speedometer and I have the customs paperwork when it came back to the USA. I swapped the speedometer for a mph unit after I bought it.
I have to say my car was in excellent original condition when I bought it...the Canadians must take care of their cars, or at least don't modify them to the degree we Americans must.
Leather/cloth interiors were a normal interior just as all leather was for '79. It just depended on how the car was spec'd out when the production order was originated.
