Hey from the pics from my 70 conv it does not have the square opening for the exhaust on the lower bezal. Is this normal?

No. It should have the openings. Someone prolly closed them up to install side exhaust...a common modification.

There is a replacement rear bezel that fills the whole opening. Maybe you will be lucky and have that bezel. If so, you can order the correct bezel and flanges, or just order the flanges and cut your bezel to fit. We have a used repro bezel for $40.00. Worst case is that someone has glassed over all oit, and you have to cut new openings and buy or make four flanges.
