I am looking at a 70 Vette convertible with this number stamped on the front pad on the passenger side. I know it is not a Corvette engine, not sure it is even a 350. I suspect it is a 305c.i. On the front pad is K0784000. Behind the distributor near the bellhosing is 460778, or 463778, or 468779. Can't really make out the third digit.

Thanks,

Scott

460778.....305...78-79...2 or 4, some Canadian assembled heavy duty truck blocks have 4-bolt main caps

the lack of an engine code leads me to believe it is a warranty replacement engine or other crate type engine.
