I am attempting to put an electronic tach from a 76 in my 72 vert. (I got a great deal on my engine rebuild from a speed shop that is run by some family friends, unfortunatly a problem developed with the distributor and they put on an an ACCEL Supercoil). My question is the wiring. It is non-descript on the back of the tach, and the wiring diagrams in the manuals don't really address it either. Anyone smart on this??

Is your question what wires go from the tach to the coil?

Sorry for the confusion. There are three contacts on the rear of the gauge. One would be from the distributor,,,,the other two I would guess a hot and ground? And which is which?

Thanks

How did you like the nordkog? Thought about it myself, but couldn't find anyone that had done this?

I love the nordskog. But I dont know if its worth the $600+ it cost to get into it. I bought mine for $300 from a guy that never installed his and it was definatley worth that. It was pretty easy to wire. I give it a 9.5 |biggrin|

I have some pics at

Also I checked the wiring for the original post question and is red obviously to power, black obviously to ground, and green to negative side of the coil.

Thanks for the help.

I like the way your gauges look. I think it pretty cool.
