After 8 years of hibernation, I got my 72 started last night. 1 issue I need to resolve is +12 switched power source for the electric choke.
After pondering over the wiring diagram a bit, I'm thinking of bringing a new fused wire fromn the fuse box ( hot when ign. switch in run position) out into the engine compartment. I see no candidate wires existing now in the engine compartment.
Any one ese have any ideas??

There is a tan wire on the rh side somewhere on a 72 near the back of thr Rh head that was for TCS. It is ignition switched. There is also an orange wire that is switched on the lh side I think.

Look for those. Any ingnition wire will work as long as it will carry enough amps. The original was controlled by a relay so the choke would not power up until the engine was running. This prevented someone from turning on the key without starting the car and the choke opening before the engine was started.
