When your automatic shifter lock paw breaks off, don't spend 159.00 for a rebuilt shifter fix it yourself it's simple.Your shifter comes out very simple, take it apart weld a piece of flat stock same thickness on the push-botton rod on the bottom slider.Do some filing so it fits in the slot, lube it up, put it back togther your good to go.My Wife makes funny faces when I tell her how much parts cost, anybody else have this problem?

I've just got hold of a second hand Hurst Indy Shifter off an old Saginaw box. It's in really good shape and all I have to do is change the mounting plate and remodel the linkages and I'll have a nice short shift pattern that won't be sloppy and rattle all the time. No need for the reverse lock toggle anymore.
Anyone else using Hurst shifters?
