Vette(s): 1972 Convertible, A/C, with matching numbers. Sunflower yellow.
Both my power windows come up a little more then half way when I press the switches.  I actually have to manually assist the windows the rest of the way up.  Is this a motor problem???  I don't know where to start.........

Tina - not having power windows on "The Toy" I can't offer any help.  But I'm moving this thread to the Body forum where I know you'll either get an answer soon or there are other threads that discuss issues with P/W.  You might also browse thru the Interiors forum also as there might be a thread or two (maybe more) that also dive into issues with P/W. When you "help them" do they seem to grab again and go the rest of the way on their own? Could be stripped teeth on the regulator...good threads related to this if that's the case :

Sounds like either failing motors, dragging regulators, or...loose/corroded connections at the motors. If there is too much of a power draw thru the connections, the motors will not have enough power to wind the winders all the way up. It seems as if you are having this problem with both sides. Hard to believe both motors would fail at the same time, or both regulators. I would suggest a good cleaning/lube on the regulators first, and then check into the electrical.

Another thing could be that both of the "assist" springs(on the regulators) are broken. That happens quite often, and it will make it harder to fully power the glass up, as these springs are there to help overcome the friction of the weatherstrips.
