a while back i locked the doors on the 75. i forgot to unlock passenger door when someone tried to open it. key wouldn't work and when i tried to unlock from inside i couldn't turn knob. anyone have an idea of how to get door unlocked without destroying my new door panels. don't think the wife would like climbing over door to get in.Big%20smile

I agree with Joel 100 percent. I did my 75 about a year ago. I am a pretty good wrench and there is no way I could have done it with out the repair manual. The illustrations are priceless once you get inside the door. It requires a fair amount of of patience but it is possible.

i agree too about the manuals. a lot of times it is straight forward that needs to be done but somethings the manuals do make easier. i have the gm manuals and one thing i do notice is that sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for as unless i am missing it there is no index in the back of the book.  it's great joel has a good memory and remembered the post he linked  to. i usually find peoples' experiences sometimes more valuable as they usually can give you little things to look for that books don't really tell you. and when you have all the great members of c3vr behind you who needs manualsThumbs%20UpClapBig%20smile

Damn Joel, you do have a good memory.  I'm the one that posted the original question & I didn't remember it (yet another senior moment!!!)  Unhappy  I never added the cure...which was what you said...new lock mechanism.  Guess I'll go update it.... kkfinch2007-05-23 18:35:17

I stay awake at nite goin thru all this info in me widdle pea brain...sometimes, some of it actually sticks...

I think the problem with David's situation is gonna be getting the door panel off with the door closed, as he can't open it.
There is a screw and brace on the very rear of the panel that sorta folds around the back of the door. Hard to get out without the door open! Might be time to snap into a Slim-Jim!! You might be able to hook onto the lock linkage with a slim-jim, and get it unlocked. It's a long shot, but...the alternative could damage the door panel...
