My passenger door striker has come loose.  What tool (and size) do I need to tighten it?  I looked at an allen wrench, but either I didn't have the right size or it's not the right tool (guessing the latter).  It looks more like a really large Torx fitting than an allen, but I had the allen handy.  Thoughts?

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I had to by the torx driver when I replaced mine. Probably the olny time it will ever get used. I would let you borrow it but it would cost just as much to ship it as for you to buy one.

My 78 takes a giant Torx (don't know the size) kind of the same size I need to get my seat belt off to have the recoiler fixed.  I bet Joel will know Winkcilrah2008-05-13 05:12:19

A T50 will fit and work, but the actual size is a T500...works on seatbelt bolts also. The T500 has edges that are more square than a regular Torx, almost like a spline-drive, but not quite. Either will work, tho.

T500 T50
