How difficult to remove the inside door panels 73 vert. I need to adjust the windows as they don't line up well when door shut and putting the window up. I thought I saw a post sometime for window alignment.. Also makes some noise. May need some lube on the track.
By the way.. any suggestions on reference material (CD/Book etc)for working on a 73 vette? want to be Vette specific.

EXTREMELY EASY..... ONLY "special" Tool you really should have is the tool to remove the spring clip that holds the window crank handle. Other then that a simple screw driver ....
Playing around with adjusting the window is about 10 times as hard as removing the door panel... also a lot more fun... LOL
A Factory Service Manuel and an Assambly manuel should take care of what you need...
Enjoy....

I have power windows so that should eliminate that prob.. are there clips behind the panels or are they just held on with screws? I've taken other (car) door panels off with the barbed clips and they could prove difficult.Had to be extra careful...

Phillips screw holds the door handle on, and one at the front and rear top of the panel. Also frt & rear about midway down. The rest is held on with plastic "velcro" pieces. Not really hard at all. The good stuff is trying to get the winder(or window for you non-Texans
)adjusted so it goes up and seals on the weatherstrip on the top. (Make sure the top is up) By all means, get a factory repair manual. You can find them at swap meets for around $40. Have fun!!

You can also adjust the bump stops on the winders (I'm from Texas)while you have the door panels removed. You might even want to replace them, thier cheap.
