Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
Hey, Great site. I have a 81 and the automatic door locks just stop working. Is there a fuse that run the locks? Or what could be the problem.

Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.

I'm sure they are protected by a fuse, so check your owner's manual for which one to check.  If that looks good, your next step is probably to take off the interior door panels one at a time and check that the lock switch is making a good connection with the socket that it plugs in to.  They can get pretty corroded.  If one switch fails or if the connection is bad, it will affect BOTH switches.  I know from experience...

Vette(s): Silver '81 mostly original C3. Silver interior, bilstiens, big sway bars, headers.
Yes, there is a fuse alright. According to the '81 workshop manual it is the Courtesy Clock fuse. The
picture shows this as being towards the bottom of the
fuse panel. There is a single 20A fuse at the bottom
left of the fuse panel, immediately above it is another
20A fuse, and immediately to the right of this is the
Courtesy Clock fuse, also 20A.

So if you look at the bottom three rows of fuses, they
go:

20Afuse - 20Afuse - 10Afuse - 35A Cct Breaker

20Afuse - 20ACtsy Clk fuse - empty fuse holder

30Afuse

Hope this helps !

I had an intermittent problem with my switches. Sometimes they worked, sometimes not. It was the connection on the switches. Just cleaned them up and now they work fine.

Hey, It was the fuse. The locks work fine. But why is my radio on this fuse. the radio did not work as well on this fuse. I saw the slot for the radio above it. Now the radio works.
