Help!, I am trying to remove door lock knobs from my 77. I can't even see between lock and panel where to acess clips. Anyone know how to do this?

It's the same as the window crank handle on other GM's. In fact you can use the same tool. Or just reach behind it with a curved pick and pull the clip out.

I made this tool from a coat hanger. I would attach a picture but don't know how. Cut about a 6-8 inchs of coat hanger wire. Put a small hook on one end 1/8 to 1/4 inch in diameter. On the other end make a larger bend of about 2 inches. Kind of like an S just one end small and the other big.
Push the small end in between the knob and door. I think the clip opening is on the rear most side of the knob. Slide the wire in with the long bend parallel to the door and then rotate the long bend end to 90 degrees to the door. You should be latched under the C-clip. Just pull it out.
