Vette(s): 69 427/400 (swapped to 350) Convertible

Hi Guys,

I may need to find some new door glass for my 69 ragtop.  The glass doesn't seem to fit right when I roll them up all the way.  First of all I need to fix the tracks somehow since I have to pull the window back to avoid the glass overlapping (and breaking) the doorframe.  I wonder if the guy who had the car before me put the wrong glass in it.  I see the Astro Ventilation glass come up on ebay and they make a distinction between the coupe and the convertible.  But I don't know it that is just because they don't know or because it is really different.  Does anyone know a good source for just nice (not concours Astro glass) replacement windows for a '69 vert and any tips on the fix?

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

What you are describing sounds like they are out of adjustment.  The adjustments are tricky.  It can be done by removing the door panel and making each adjustment a little at a time.

The window can be tilted forward or back, raised or lowered at top position, moved forward or backward in the door.  The lower stop position can also be adjusted.  If the glass is the same shape as the opening, it's probably the correct glass, just misadjusted.

Vette(s): 1971 coupe. Fully restored, numbers match
We had the same problem and took the door panel off and played with it a while. It's better, but not totally.  Need to spend some more time with it.
