i was already about to make the doorholes wider to adjust my door til i noticed MixxMaster  post and realized we kinda have the same prob.

only for me just one side of the car has this problem, the gap between the upper part of the door and the fender is just too large  and i ran out of space in the doorholes for further adjustment .

when i took the body off , my car had no shims, because of some repair on the mounts , i welded 3mm "caps" on 4 mounts (1,2,7,8)  and a 3mm plate under the rockerchannel at mount 3 & 4 ......... and put 3mm shimms on mount 5 & 6 .
so all in all i have leveled it out  on all 8 mounts.. i thought

but actually i have no clue how to adjust this gap with shimms.. i mean.. where to put extra shimms .  i can't imagine putting shimm on body mount 1 or 3 ( doorpillar) to make  or point (A) come down or point B come up a little  . maybe i should have taken off a bit on mount 1 to make point A come down?   anyway...the only thing i could imagine was raising the front nose of the body on the front bumper ........ but that gave no effect

any sugestion?

thank you

How good is the bonding of the fender? Sometimes it comes loose in that area. Also is the door from that car?

problem solved, the guy at the bodyshop only used the holes in the door to adjust height, but with adjusting the hings inside the doorpillar  i could adjust the hings enough to get the door inline with the fender
