I don't know, guys....I think that plate is installed after paint....gotta be some way to get it up in there....I need to do a little research.....I could be wrong.......

This is a complete guess from a guy who has never done bodywork but watched some on TV, so you're taking your chances here, but is there any way to spot weld a "matchstick"to the end of the easy-out like the guy in this video link?
Then try spinning that with grips?
Again, I'm a complete novice, if this sets your car on fire, I'm sorry but consider yourself warned.
Can some of the more experienced guys tell me if this is a good or horrible idea?

Yea I saw that, I'm not that great of a welder, yea I would probably burn it to the ground

I'm thinkin of the ideal of just drilling the sm all holes around it. hopefully able to wedge it out and zert it..
