I was checking out the wiring diagrams at Doc Rebuild's website because I need some serious electrical help. Has anyone bought or used one of these wiring diagrams and if so, have they been helpful and worth the money? For those who have used them, are they fairly easy to understand and follow? Thanks for all of your responses!!!!!!

I just used the corvette service manual. Everthing you need on wiring should be in there. What's your electrical problem?

try Lectric Limited - http://www.lectriclimited.com/mainpage.htm
they have a laminated one for about $12 - you can "nail it" to the wall in the garage.
Good Luck

Matt,
Of all of the wiring diagrams I have (some color), the nes from the Doc are the best.
The pic of the actual connector is what sets them apart.

have to agree with anthony. bought these and by far the best i have
seen. they are laminated and you can have them right in where you are
working. easy to follow too.

Thanks guys... I appreciate your responses. Knotacare, I seem to have a bad ground because all my lights will not work when I have the headlights on. Also, I noticed a lot of loose unconnected wires just hanging in the engine compartment. The car starts and runs good but I want to find out what all these other wires are. I have the service manual but I am having a difficult time interpreting the electrical diagrams. Electric is not my cup of tea
Also, my front marker lights are not working. Willis76, good to hear that I have a local comrad from the Glass City!!! Go Hens!!!!!

Thank you...I had the same problem alot of us have or have had . To many bubas over the years. I had wires going no where & a wireing harness over 1" thick going across the firewall. Lasy yr I had a small electrical fire in the engine compartment due to old insulation on the wires & who knows what. So I did a temp fix to get it to my shop. I decided to rewire the engine compartment, but when I saw further I ripped out all the wiring in the car ordered a Ron Francis kit . Then proceeded to rewire the complete car. Haven't had a problem since.
You can solve your problem, but it will take some time. Check al the grounds first.
ground wire from battery to frame under battery
ground wire from frame frt passenger side to engine
ground wire to starter
From there you'll have to trace each wire & I suspect you'll find some going nowhere.
I would open up all the harnesses in the engine & go wire by wire. This way you can check fro bad insulation also.
disconnect your battery first.
If you know how to read an ohm meter it will make things much easier. At least this is a start. But from what you describe I'd inspect all the wiring under the hood to start.
