My fuse for the dash lights keep blowing, i took the console apart and see no obvious problems, I think the fuse blows when I turn the light switch on, someone told me the the switch is usually the problem or the dimmer switch, anyone have any ideas or where the problem could be

The headlights, and therefore the dimmer switch, are on a separate circuit from the dash/parking lights.
Does the fuse blow with just the park lights on, or when you pull it to headlight position?
If it is when you just pull it to the park light position, it may well be one of the parking lamps causing the problem, in the front or the rear. Hard to say, but you'll prolly have to start looking there...

Start by unplugging the plug off the light switch. If that solves the problem, it is not the switch. Then the fun starts. Keep unplugging things and checking with an ohmmeter. It could be a short within the wire loom, or any of the many bulbs.

I think it blows as soon as I pull the switch out,but not totally sure,I'll have to chech the fuse with a
ohmmeter to see if I have 12v on both sides if the fuse before I pull the switch, but if I pull the wires off the switch and the fuse doesn't blow, don't that prove it is the switch

If you pull the wires off, and the fuse doesn't blow, that proves it is not the switch, but rather something that you just unplugged. You can check each contact on the plug with an ohmmeter to see which one of them shows a short.
