The dash lights on my 82 coupe are very dim. Is this normal? Any help is appreciated>

well the ones on my CE were dim until I replaced the light switch. Might want to try pulling out the switch rod, spraying WD-40 down the rod, rotating it and then trying it. Sometimes the rheostadt gets dirty and after 20 years I'm sure yours probably is.
Hope this helps

dukman, I shot wd40 in the switch and it seemed to help a little. I think I will replace the switch and bulbs when I tear out the interior and replace it all. Thanks for for tip.

Great, glad I could help. I replaced my switch before, so if you need any help, fell free to ask or email me.

Vette(s): 1962, originally Fuel Injected 4-Speed with optional hardtop, now has "crate" ZZ4
I shot "LPS1" (or "2" or "3") into my switch when the dash lights hadn't worked for a TON of years...every time I thought of it, mebbe 7 scattered days. I was returning from a Cruise about 9:30pm one night, and suddenly a faint glow appeared. I almost ran off the road! Got home, kept "squirting", and soon they were as bright as I can EVER remember them being. Recommend this method HIGHLY.
