Gotta Question ... Install of the 77 dash pad cover. The one I have doesn't Have Speaker holes. I was just on Corvette America's web page and the pad is supposed to come with a special drill to drill your own speaker hole's.
Now, when I bought the car last August. the guy gave me everything he had for the car. (All kinds of Treasures)but no drill or template for the cover. I need all the Idea's I can get. Oh, one other thing, he had ordered this stuff in 93, and never installed it.
I just Finished the door panels an new seat backs. The "Ghost" is starting to come together.
Thanks

Funny ! mine came from the same source and it was pre cut .
Good luck on that one, maybe they only meant for you to drill several holes in a pattern for the sound to get through. Might be cleaner ?

Is this just one of those cover "skins", or the complete top pad? I've seen the skins that do require drilling of the speaker holes...what a pain. Might be worth looking into getting a different one, with holes, and selling the one you have now.

It's a skin, I think. There is no pad that I can see. The Vent needs to be cut out to. I'm not in a hurry to install this, I just want to have it done by Memorial Day

Could you trace a template on some heavy paper and cut from there?

what does the backing on the skin look like? is it a peel off?? I know this might seem crazzy but these things work. get you some spray paint tape around speaker grills so paint only gets on grill. spray grill with paint and take skinn and put it in place so that all edges match. press and smooth all of dash when you lift up it should leave a paint print thats what you will cut out. dont know what the backing is made of but you can cut and peel of back and place or you can cut out and glue.
