I have two questions(1)Iwant to instal a dash cap for a temp repair until I get all the parts to re do my interior.What I want to know is has anyone used the dash cap ,and how dose it look?Tacky or ok.(2) When I do the dash any suggestion there?

Some folks have success with them, some don't. Take your time. This chore will probably take longer than you think it will, so plan accordingly.

Some of the "caps" may not have the speaker holes in them, so that's something you should check on before buying.
If it's installed properly, and it fits correctly, they don't look too bad...better than a cracked dash, anyway.
As far as a new replacement dash pad, don't try to do it when it's cold. The dash needs to be bent/flexed a little in the center to get it past the pillar posts, so it should be warm to facilitate this so no damage occurs accidentally.

I found a third option,I got a dash cover from corvette central to cover the dash until I replace it .Thanks to Joel I now will plan the interior work for next summer.Thanks
