I have seen one similar around my area. I like the look but would hate to be the guy that had to fix a scratch in the paint some day.

I've got a C5(1/18th scale) painted that color, and it looks great. I've also got a 1/12th scale '67 I painted like that with some leftover paint from a project. That stuff is HARD to shoot and make look right, and IMPOSSIBLE to "touch-up" any scratches, etc. Also VERY expensive paint to buy....
I like it, tho!

Looks like alot of time, money, and labor went into making that 77 pretty sharp. It is everything that the owner wanted it to be and they should be proud. As a vette family we should support their passion irregardless of our thoughts....

I think it is spectacular. If you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks!
There are enough Vettes of that vintage around , so the purists can keep theirs original, and others can do what they want.

I've seen other cars with that "magical-mystical" paint. It is cool to see the color change as the light angles change. My only negative comment is - a RED interior...?!?!? If you're spending all that money on the outside at least drop a little more and make the inside compliment the outside. White, oyster, grey, black, ???

To tell you the truth, I didn't even notice the interior.
I did talk to the owner and he told me all the things he did to the engine, exhaust and driveline to make it "his". The ground effects were added to increase the amount of surface curves to make it more interesting. The paint doesn't really work all that great on flat surfaces.
The number of coats of paint and the expertize of squirting the car makes it really expensive.
As for the music, that was from the PA system and was running all day long. Lots of oldies from the 60's.
