I had the windshield replaced by Dannys Glass in Hampton, VA .  They were great do busniess with. They ordered the glass and came to my house and installed the new windshield with no problems.  Very happy with there work.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
That is good information for people in your area.  Had a similar issue once a while ago.

I am happy that you finally found somebody! I had recommended earlier in the post to use a local glass company rather then the chain companies. Did you find that Danny's had employees that have been with them for a long time? Even better was it a family run business? When it comes to corvettes it hard to find anybody to work on them from paint jobs to changing windshields. There is a 99% chance that windshield is going to get broken removing or installing. The glass techs really need to be experienced to work on a corvette. The other reason most don't want to do the windshield is usually the clips break removing moldings. Then it turns into a more labor intensive job. I recommend to everybody that has to replace a windshield is to have replacement clips on hand.
