Hey folks,
Does anyone know what type of fasteners are used to secure the grille to the cowl induction housing?
My 75 is missing this grille and I can find some reasonably priced used grilles on eBay, but none seem to come with mounting hardware.
Any help would be appreciated.

The cowl vent is held on with 6 black phosphate sheet metal, acorn style nuts. Similar to this...
There is a blob of sealer on them, too, to keep them from loosening, and rattling.
Paragon has them...$5 for the set of 6.

Thanks for the info.
I'm wondering if you can recommend a book/manual(s), where I can learn these particulars about my 75 corvette. I have the 66-82 Shop Manual but it doesn't always go to the level of detail necessary. While I want to get some additional performance, I don't want to detract from what is an almost completely original car. I worry about doing things that may detract from its value.
What would you suggest?

Jim, the best I can recommend is to get the Factory Service Manual(s) for your car. For a '75, you would also need the '74 Service manual, since the '75 manual is really just new additions to the '74 manual. You can find both the hard copy manuals, and CD versions on ebay all the time, for fairly reasonable prices(around $40).
You might also want to consider getting the AIM(Assembly Instruction Manual). This is what the assembly line workers used to tell/show them how to assemble the cars, and what parts to use. The AIM is prolly the most valuable book you can have, imho.
There are many other Restoration, and modification books out there....I have many, but no specific titles come to mind right now....I'm having a senior moment....
