My '72 Coupe is blowing the fuse for the courtesy lights. I've removed and taped off the door switches, put in a fresh fuse and as soon as I close a door the fuse blows or if I let the lights on with the doors open it will blow the fuse after 15 minutes or so. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with the courtesy lights. I can turn them on and off at the switch without any problem |frown|

My vette's giving me fits and the Buckeyes....well I can always work on the vette Saturday afternoons.

I have not seen this happen. But, the door jamb switches just supply a ground. So if they don't make contact, the lights just don't work. And due to the fact they ground normally, they won't blow a fuse.

So this indicates a problem with the interior light module. Take a look there, and see if there is any signs of damage or overheating, burned contacts etc.

Thanks for the heads up on the lights. Electrical things always confuse me, but I will take a closer look at the lights themselves and their wiring.
