Heya,
Anyone know of a good place to buy? I Know Corvette Central, but they seem pricy (like $40). This is the timer relay that's by the glovebox that dims the lights slowly when leaving or entering the car. I've finally pulled it out, so I have a number on it, but my local parts store says "Dealer".

Thanks !

$40-$50 is about the going price for these. You might catch one on Ebay for less every now and then, but most prices I've seen for these timers is even higher. I paid less for a NOS timer last fall from Ebay for my '78, but by the time you pay shipping costs it's about the same anyway. I checked at a Chevy dealer prior to that and was told they're obsolete and not available anymore through the GM network. The ones available through Corvette Central and other suppliers are reproductions and not genuine GM. That doesn't mean it's not a quality part, but as anything else, the quality of repro parts runs the gamut from better than original to lousy.

In defense of Corvette Central, I've always been satisfied with dealing with them and the quality of any part I've received from them...reproduction or otheriwse.
