My 72 Convertible has a Coupe Door on the drivers side. Someone replaced it years ago I guess. It does not have the door guide and the door guide receiver has been removed. It has always bothered me because I'm kind of picky about that stuff. I was looking in the Corvette America Catalog and saw a Coupe to Convertible conversion piece. Part #22563, Has anyone ever done this. It looks like I would have to cut out a small section of the door out and this is recessed back in a little bit to make room for the guide pin.I don't now if this piece is mounted with screws or if it has to be welded in. If anyone is familiar with this I would love to have some info. I was thinking I would have to get a new door to fix this problem. Thanks.
