I notice that on the helper side the socket was not original so I change it but still not working, |headscratch|
also the color of the wires are ( helper side ) black/white and black , ( the driver side ) blue/white , black

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

Normand,
Have you checked to see if there is power coming to the light? If not, maybe a fuse is blown out. The left light is supposed to work when you make a left turn, and use the turn signal for a left turn, am I correct? And the right will work while making a right turn, correct? Also are the bulbs good?

Have you checked the bulbs and wiring? Remember that the ignition probably needs to be turned on to make them work.

I need more information

I didn't know that corvettes had cornering lights. I guess you learn something every day..

tank you for the reply |thumb|
yes the fuse is ok |thumb|
and the bulbs are new
I think that I will have to checked the main wiring to find the wires and test the power from the fuse box up to the sockets or could it be in the steering switch ?
is it possible |headscratch|

Norm,
Trace the other end of the black wire, they usually(in my experience terminate at a bolt on the frame somewhere, all of my lights in the back went out for a little because this bolt dropped off....check that and try with a tester to see if you can get power while using a different ground(engine block?) just a thought...

I scot
tank's for the tip, you maybe right because on vette lots of grounds and after 23 years and rust, it might be the problem. I will check the ground and check also the main power source from the fuse box and trace the black/white wire and trace it down.
